Heidi Fawber Susan Grisham Paul Deutsch & the many many volunteers who pulled together an absolutely fabulous and memorable Symposium I wanted to thank you all for the hard work and effort put into this years program. The large representation from IARP and IALCP were evident and a pleasure to see everyone. Paul I believe said it best when he noted the increased involvement by the Academy (IALCP section of IARP) has increased the quality of the programming over the past two years. I can not agree more! Collaborating on the Educational Program has raised the bar and this years programs were exceptional!! It occurred to me as I looked around the room and caught up with everyone that Life Care Planning is full of truly diverse folks who year after year come together in unity to learn, laugh and even shed a tear or two. It was a pleasure and I thank you all for your hard work. See you in Denver next year!! Cloie Cloie B. Ditto, Cloie! It was an exceptional program and so much fun to meet new people, put names with faces. The collaborative nature of the event is an exciting thing, no doubt. Thanks to everyone. I agree as well regarding the substantive aspects of the conference. However, I was wondering if attendees could be provided with an attendee list. I met people and chatted with them, and at times either they or I did not have our business cards on them. Without an attendee list, it is really impossible to follow up with them. I heard that no lists were provided, as their was concern that IARP would follow up with attendees. Well gee, IARP was an exhibitor, (not to mention a co-sponsor of the event), so of course they would follow up with attendees. Not expecting exhibitors to follow up with attendees is like not expecting someone who walks into a McDonald's to buy a hamburger. Anyway, the lack of an attendee list for both attendees and exhibitors is something that I have never before experienced at a conference. I would hope that at best, a list could be provided retroactively, and at worst, will be provided at all future events. Steve Steven D.
