I agree as well regarding the substantive aspects of the conference.
However, I was wondering if attendees could be provided with an attendee
list. I met people and chatted with them, and at times either they or I did
not have our business cards on them. Without an attendee list, it is really
impossible to follow up with them. I heard that no lists were provided, as
their was concern that IARP would follow up with attendees. Well gee, IARP
was an exhibitor, (not to mention a co-sponsor of the event), so of course
they would follow up with attendees. Not expecting exhibitors to follow up
with attendees is like not expecting someone who walks into a McDonald's to
buy a hamburger. Anyway, the lack of an attendee list for both attendees
and exhibitors is something that I have never before experienced at a
conference. I would hope that at best, a list could be provided
retroactively, and at worst, will be provided at all future events.
