    Hello again,

For those traveling to Pittsburgh next week, I have a couple tips/suggestions.

    1.      If you like sports even a little bit, you MUST visit the Western PA Sports Museum.  It is located within the Senator John Heinz History Center in the Strip District & it is fabulous.  http://www.heinzhistorycenter.org/

    2.      You will not want to miss the Andy Warhol Museum on the North Side.  You have got to see it to believe it.  http://www.warhol.org/

    3.      The Carnegie Museum of Natural History has the best dinosaurs.  http://www.carnegiemnh.org/

    4.      We have a Roberto Clemente Museum, but you must make advance reservations to visit.  http://www.clementemuseum.com/

    5.      If you like food, you will soon see there are a lot of choices (another email on eating out is forthcoming).  One easy choice & within walking distance of the hotel in Market Square, is the Original Oyster House Café, which just celebrated its 146th birthday this week.  It's the oldest bar/restaurant in Pittsburgh.  When the doors opened at 20 Market Square on October 12, 1870, customers could purchase an oyster for a penny & a glass of beer for a dime.  http://originaloysterhousepittsburgh.com/

    6.      Bicycle Heaven on the North Side has the largest collection of bicycles in the world.  (OK, this is not really my favorite place, but I thought some might be interested!)  https://www.bicycleheaven.org/

    7.      Lastly, check this out!  I just came across this article.  Note where it is published.  J

    Practical stuff

    1.      We have a less than wonderful public transportation system & taxis are hard to come by when you are not at a hotel entrance.  Sign up for Uber or Lyft now.  Uber is perfect for getting around here.  (Nothing against Lyft, but I have not tried their service yet.)  Pittsburgh is the 1st city in which Uber is testing out driverless cars, so maybe you will get to experience that!

    2.      No matter what the weather forecast says, there is no way to *really* predict what it will be like outside.  Bring layers!

    More soon,

    PattyC
