It also depends on how much they are using it and at what amplitude Etc. You can contact the rep if they already have one and give you an idea of how often it will need to be replaced dependent on the model, number of electrodes/paddles, how much downtime during the day it has to charge Etc. I have a client that wears it all day at maximum amp with two paddles even when it's charging. ( which I thought they weren't supposed to do). But the Medtronic rep and pain management docs are comfortable with what it is requiring to manage her RSD.
I don't think there's a blanket recommendation.
Collaboration with the providers and the rep is the best way. Good luck!!
