The time has come for me to start dictating portions of my reports.  I can't use Naturally Speaking or Mac's speech-to-text feature; the inaccuracy is too frustrating.  I'm interested in using a hand-held recorder or similar device and sending files to a service for transcription.  I'd appreciate hearing how other folks manage this.

    Many thanks.

    I use both.

I use Dragon but I watch as it types and proof for errors.  I find it acceptable.

I also have a secretary that will transcribe recordings.  I use my iphone to record as I can email the recording directly to my secretary.

I am sure you could find a transcriptionist you could hire.  Email this person your recording and get a document emailed back.

We use an Olympus digital system (DS-5000) that is networked through our computer system, and like it very much.
