Anyone have any resources/journal articles on including financial planning in a life care plan?

I feel this should be a cognitive issue.

Just because the person is getting a large sum on money for the settlement does not mean that financial planning is automatically placed in the plan (IMHO).  Most cases have structured settlements which are approved by the court. So the planning,to ensure the money is there when the evaluaee needs it, is already taken care of.

I wanted to get some thoughts from others and some sources.

    Burt,

I have this included with people that have head injuries, because they can't make realistic decisions in the future.  The attorney will obtain a third of the settlement, so the injured party needs a way to make up for that significant loss.

Contact a local Certified Financial Planner.  They also do a form of Life Planning and are always willing and eager to work with Life Care Planners.
