Does anyone else find that the SECOND you finalize a report and feel that rush of relief... the phone rings and another impatient attorney is on the line asking WHEN ON EARTH your report on their case will be ready?

    Just happened to me...again!

Patti,  Every day! because they usually want it when they want it even if the timing is not actually advantages to providing the comprehensive information; eg no time

Frame when you take the case and all of a sudden they have scheduled a mediation without determination of efficacy.

Oh yeah, and when you're getting ready to go on vacation, don't you hear from all those with cases that have been on hiatus?

Absolutely, it is the nature of the business and I just have to be flexible and roll with it.

You can avoid this by finding out up front when reports are needed and also keeping in contact with the law firm to avoid this type of hetic demand schedule.

Realistically, I don't think so as things happen on cases.  I do get dates upfront,  but then mediations are scheduled, opposing counsel wants to settle, etc. etc.
