Does anyone have estimated figures on replacement schedule for an exoskeleton?

I think it depends on the prosthetist but I usually look to them for replacement.  If I remember they usually tell me q 5 yrs.

Is it a ReWalk? If so, I would contact them directly or contact one of the training centers. If it is an Ekso or Indego, then I recommend you call Candy Tefertiller Director of Physical Therapy at Craig Hospital. She is very helpful and can be reached at 303-789-8000.

When you find out, please share.

    Thanks,

I would agree that it depends upon the exoskeleton but for the ReWalk replacement every 5 years would be appropriate

The Re-Walk Exoskeleton is $70,000.00 for the device only. I included it as a potential item in an LCP pending MD recommendation. So I didn't research further. You may find be more information on this website -

    Slate.com

    $70,000 for device alone

Costed ReWalk recently for LCP and spoke to rep and PT. Rewalk does not have replacement stats yet as device not on market long enough. Based on warranty the rep thought replacement every 5 years reasonable + 10% yearly maintenance/repair cost.

I haven't found a supplier in Canada. I was told by a representative of ReWalk that the unit costs $77,000 with a  two year warranty and one can buy extended warranty for years 3, 4 and 5 for $4000.00 . So in Canada add an exchange rate of 1.25.

So at this point a replacement time of 5 years seems reasonable.
