  • 1.  Affordable Care Act (ACA) Impact on Life Care Planning

    We are developing a webinar to address issues related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA),its impact on Life Care Planning, and the rehabilitation field.  To help the presenter narrow the topic and direct her discussion to  meet our needs specifically, please respond to this post with one or two questions or most challenging issues confronting you and your practice associated with the ACA.

    We would like to present  this webinar to the membership as soon as possible.  Your input is important to assure this webinar, and, possibly a series related to the ACA,  addresses our needs.

    A very timely topic. This will also be addressed at the Symposium in Scottsdale in Sept. We will be reviewing recent court cases, Standards of Practice and collateral source rules State by State as they differ.

    The Summit is occurring as a pre-con on that Friday and will feed into our talk on Sunday on the ACA and Life Care Planning . Topics include transparency. 

    A peer reviewed article will be coming in the JLCP before the Symposium.

    IARP and IALCP are leading the way !!!

    I am very glad to hear this. I have had some experience with attorneys asking me questions about the ACA impact on LCP's. I would be happy to participate and share what I may understand on this.  I will send some questions, but I think a scenario of actual trial use would also be helpful.
