    I just opened my email & found the most wonderful 'surprise,' the JLCP!

    I have not yet even opened it, but wanted to offer Dianne Simmons Grab my personal heartfelt thanks and appreciation for taking on this endeavor and seeing it through to publication.

    We at IALCP are proud and happy to have the JLCP back!

    To Patty and all the others who have congratulated myself as well as the editorial board publicly and privately, I want to thank you. It has been your requests to have the Journal back that made this possible. It also is a team effort. It is more than the editorial board. It also includes those who publish it, such as Elliott & Fitzpatrick Publishers, the support from our home office, and all the people who have wonderful ideas for articles. So keep those ideas coming and give me a call.

    I was very disappointed thatt you did not notice Patty McCollum and others as the original genesis of this Journal!  If you are going to

    Document history then  it should be Accurate   The International Association of Nurse Life Care Planners promulgated the first

    Standards,  developed and  provided the first Educational programs regarding above and created the first journal.  As you

    Must know this organization was then incorporated into IARP per the resolve of the IALCP.  Patty was the one and only person

    That started the Journal but the previous editors kept it going for year.

    Dear Sharon,

     I am sorry you feel that way. I more than understand the importance that Patty McCollom  and others had with initiating the Journal of Life Care Planning. That is why the very first paragraph in the first article of this Journal recognized her and the integrity that she put forth with the creation of the Journal. I simply was responding to people who congratulated me and had faith in me to continue what Patty and the forefounders started.

    Sharon, thanks for your comments.  You and I have been around a long time so it is important to incorporate the history and give acknowledgment to those who built the foundation upon which we now practice.
