    Colleagues,

I am fully aware of the statistical data supporting a diminished life expectancy for SCI patients, and have just read the NSCISC National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Center, Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems 2013 Annual Report. However, I am also interested in the risks associate with applying the reduced life expectancy figures to Life Care Plans. Assume the evaluee lives past the reduced LE. Don't the tenents of LCP suggest we apply full life expectancy to ensure the funding is available for the evaluee if needed?

I welcome any thoughts, references, or resources to enlighten me in this area.

Thank you in advance for your in put!
