Lynne, the best I can offer for you from central FL is to be sure there is adequate skilled staffing, each shift. No doubt, the patient-client is a bit anxious, with this kind of treatment necessary. Respiratory services must be available. Californina will have staffing standards you can check and compare with the facility history.
And if you can, be sure to visit or have family or the best friend visit the place you select. If the place smells clean when you move down the hallways, that is a good sign. If it smells like urine or worse, look elsewhere.
