  • 1.  Disability and injury story, written in first person

    Just read a GREAT article on Jermichael Finley...for those of you who don't know, (or just don't follow football), Finley plays with Green Bay and suffered a cervical injury, which rendered him at first with no sensation...the story is written primarily from Finley's perspective on what it felt like after the injury, the treatment he has received and the fact that he has disability insurance, which will protect his family should he never play again.

    I understand the situations with pro athletes... esp in the NFL there are funds available...I understand not so much in the NHL... but in Ontario it is more of a concern on how to deal with the "high school" athletes with no true IRB insurance...  and despite our "free healthcare" no true funding for practical Vocational re pathing for lack of a better term....
