I think the most immediate effect of the impending start of implementation of the Affordable Care Act for life care planners is a decrease in referrals. The one thing that seems clear is that no one knows exactly how implementation will play out in the real world next year. When attorneys are faced with uncertainty they hesitate to refer cases to life care planners.
