    An announcement was made earlier this Fall that the ICHCC would be adding Commissioners to the existing Board and was taking applications with letters of intent, CV's and letters of recommendation.  These commissioner positions will become active sometime after the New Year and thus this is a last call.  If you are interested, please submit the following to Evelyn Robert at erobert@medyn.net no later than February 1, 2013. 


    1.     Letter of Intent.


    2.     Current CV.


    3.     Letter of recommendation.


    For clarity of the expectations of the Commissioners, please review the essential functions of the CLCP Commissioner:


                1. Attend monthly Board conference calls and any emergency calls indicated.


                2. Attend at least one major Life Care Planning conference every 2-year period.


                3. Participate in necessary CLCP test validation exercises and test-item revision


                workshops.


                4. Provide five CLCP test-items based on item-writing protocols described in the item


                writing manual for each calendar year served on the Board.  (Effective 01/02/2013.)


                5. Participate in workshops and/or meetings deemed necessary by the NCCA for


                maintenance of accreditation for the CLCP credential.


                6. Review ethical issues, determines validity of complaint, and vote on outcome of


                case influencing the CLCP credential.


                7. Review policy recommendations and vote on proposed policies and/or policy


                revisions for the CLCP credential.


                8. Addresses Board regarding field related concerns or projects that may directly             influence the CLCP credential, or review and vote on such issues brought before      the Board by other Commissioners.


                9. Review life care plans submitted for competency portion of preparation for             certification process.


               


    The commissioner term of service is for a 5-year-period.  All applicants must have at least five years of experience as a Certified Life Care Planner.  Again, please submit a copy of your current CV, your letter of intent and a letter of recommendation no later than February 1, 2013 to erobert@medyn.net.  For those applicants that have already submitted, we still have your information in our files, please contact us if there have been any changes in your information.  It is our hope that your intent remains unchanged.
