I am searching for information on the specific levels of  neuropsychological evaluation testing for the TBI population or general population.  For example, a Level I evaluation will be a general evaluation with limited testing, Level II will include Level I testing with more extensive testing, DSM documentation etc.

I am working with an individual who recently had two IME neuropsychological evaluations completed.  The first evaluation being very comprehensive and included a multitude of testing instruments which led to the conclusion that she is not employable.  The second was a "general" neuropsychological  evaluation with no test instruments and based on that evaluation it was concluded that there is no impairment.  I was advised "off-the-record" by the physician that quite often defense will use a Level I evaluation which will not detect deficits for TBI since no testing is administred.  Thank you in advance.

I have not heard the terms "Level 1" or "Level II". I have seen complete or partial as terms. When I have seen partial ones done, they were a follow-up to complete ones to see how a person has changed, not to get the baseline. The terms used by many neuropsychs here are assessment (initial eval and minimal testing/screening) and evaluation (full testing).
