  • WA IARP – Scholarship to IARP Annual Conference 2020

    IARP Membership -

This year, the WA-IARP Board has again decided that we would like to send one of our members to the  National IARP Conference from 10/7/20 – 10/10/20, which is virtual this year. I apologize for the delay, as this event is fast approaching; however, we wanted to make sure that we can provide this opportunity. We are offering a $725.00 scholarship to one member. You can apply for the scholarship by writing to the Board about why attending the National Conference would be of value to your career, and what you would like to gain from the experience. We will in turn ask that you write an article for our next Newsletter about your experience. If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, please submit your paper to ktaylor@eastsidevocational.com no later than 9/30/20. Since the event is virtual this year, conference registration will be open until 10/6/20. Preference will be given to individuals who have never attended a National Conference before. Please do not apply if you’ve already been a recipient of this scholarship. For details regarding the event, please go to this link: https://rehabpro.org/page/iarpconference.

  • WA IARP – Virtual Training Opportunities

    Good morning afternoon!

I hope that you all continue to stay healthy and well this week!

The WA Chapter Board is planning upcoming training opportunities for this fall. As expected, these will be virtual and hosted via Zoom, as we continue to monitor changes and updates regarding Covid-19.

We wanted to take the time to reach out to our members and remind you that your feedback is always welcome! We are circulating ideas that we believe will cater to the vocational community, both professionally and personally, as we all continue to navigate the “Covid climate” and face various challenges.

We have received great feedback regarding having peers within the community speaking or providing workshops on certain topics that may benefit all during this time. Therefore, if you or a peer are interested in being a speaker via webinar format in the months to come, please reach out to me with your suggestions! Your ideas for future trainings are also appreciated. We look forward to sharing details as we continue to develop upcoming events. For now, stay healthy!
