Hello - I am a master’s prepared nurse residing near Omaha, Nebraska. Certified in both Case Management and Nurse Life Care Planning, I have been in the rehabilitation field since 2000. My healthcare background includes work in critical care, acute medical rehabilitation, post-acute brain injury rehabilitation, women’s health, and case management in hospital-based, insurance, and worker’s compensation settings, as well as experience in military and civilian healthcare and in the health insurance industry.
I've been a nurse for more than 30 years, and work with injured individuals of all ages. My special expertisein in developing care plans to address long-term medical and functional needs of individuals with brain injury, vaccine injuries, spinal cord injury, and chronic pain.
I have spoken on life care planning and rehabilitation topics at regional and national conferences for life care planners, attorneys, case managers, and vocational specialists. I recently completed a tenure as secretary on the executive board of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners and am a past president of the Nebraska Chapter of CMSA. In addition to IARP, I am a member of the American Nurses Association, NANDA-I, AANLCP and the Reserve Officers Association. I enjoyed my roles as co-editor and contributing author for A Core Curriculum for Nurse Life Care Planning - Second Edition and am currently on the committee to update the Standards of Practice for Nurse Life Care Planning.
My private, independent case management and life care planning company has been in existence since 2007. In my spare time I enjoys spending time with my family and grandchildren, playing in the dirt, and collecting chickens (the live kind).
