Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with over 30 years of experience in providing vocational rehabilitation services as well as social security disability adjudication services; approved by the Commissioner of Social Security to provide expert vocational opinion testimony for the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, as part of the Social Security Administration's process for determining whether or not an individual with a disability may receive benefits; approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide (1) Complete Initial Assessments/Evaluations, (2) Case Management/Rehabilitation Services, (3) Employment Services, (4) Educational and Vocational Counseling, and (5) Discrete Services to veterans; proficient in providing comprehensive vocational assessment and vocational counseling services to individuals with disabilities which includes the following abilities:
•Writing Transferable Skills Analysis based on the individual’s current physical capacity, considering worker traits, intellectual level and personal characteristics shown by testing as well as the individual’s work and educational history in comparison to the characteristics and demands of specific jobs.
• Conducting with an individual Vocational and Educational Exploration including selection of suitable vocational objective consistent with the individual’s abilities, aptitudes, and interests.
• Performing Independent Living Assessments to identify steps through which an individual whose disabilities are so severe that a vocational goal is not feasible can become more independent in daily living.
