I began my career in the rehabilitation field with Easter Seals as a Recreational Therapist in 1985. In 1991 I completed my Masters' degree in Rehabiliation Counseling and started working as an Employment Specialist with United Cerebral Palsy. I performed assessments, job development, job analysis,job modifications, job coaching, client and family counseling and support, as well as follow up services with program participants and employers.
I then worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor with DCH Regional Medical Center where I participated as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. I counseled with patients and their families, provided community resources and referrals as needed.
I entered the private rehabilitation sector in 1993 and have worked for several companies over the years including Continental Rehab Resources, Crawford & Co. and Intracorp. While employed with these various companies I provided job development, job analysis, labor market surveys, vocational evaluations, job placement and expert testimony with workers' compenation and LTD clients. I also perfomed medical and vocational case management services.
In 2003 I became an independent vocational and rehabilitation consultant. In my practice I provide vocational evaluations, disability ratings and expert testimony in workers' compensation and liability litigation. I am also a certified Rehabilitation Counselor with the Department of Labor and provide job development, rehabilitation plan development, job analysis, job placement, counseling and guidance to injured workers. In 2011 I began serving as a Social Security VE.
