Kelly Ann Grimm, RN, CCRN, CLCP
In 2003, Ms. Grimm began her career as a critical care registered nurse at the William Randolph Hearst Burn Center of NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Hospital in New York City. She completed rigorous, burn specialized training in the care of infants, children, and adults in their renowned Burn Intensive Care Unit. In 2006, Kelly Ann moved to Boston where she was employed as a clinical nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Shriners Children’s Burn Hospital. Most recently she was a member of the highly skilled team at the Arizona Burn Center. She was employed at the Burn Center for 12 years as the Clinical Resource Leader.
Kelly Ann has provided hands-on care for hundreds of critically ill, burn and trauma patients for over 16 years. She has contributed as a nurse leader to multidisciplinary planning for seriously ill pediatric and adult patients to ensure survival and optimize outcomes.
Kelly Ann has since earned certification in Life Care Planning from the International Commission on Healthcare Professions. In addition, Kelly Ann trained with leading life care planners and medical-legal service corporations throughout the United States.
Kelly Ann has developed comprehensive insight into the highly specialized requirements of the severely burn-injured population. She is a burn nursing expert who has been a team member with world-renowned burn and reconstructive surgeons, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists, child life specialists, and psychologists at three major American Burn Association-verified Burn Centers in the United States.
As a Life Care Planner, Kelly Ann’s goal is to assess and appreciate the individual needs of each client, and, in consult with other medical specialists as appropriate, create a comprehensive, evidence-based life care plan that will optimize outcomes, prevent further harm, and ensure the most meaningful future for each affected individual ensuring human dignity while encompassing medical necessities.
