Dr. Tracy L. Travis started her career as an occupational therapist (OT) working within a school district, acute care hospital and skilled nursing facilities in Washington State. For 20 years, her clinical experience focused on providing community-based or in-home occupational therapy primarily for those traumatically injured. Dr. Travis’s work in community-based rehabilitation led to her becoming a Certified Life Care Planner. For the last 20 years, she has developed life care plans for those who have sustained serious injuries and have ongoing care needs. Dr. Travis’ doctoral dissertation on the topic of life care planning and publishing within the Journal of Life Care Planning further expanded her knowledge of life care planning. She finds great value in applying her professional education and clinical experience to the development of a life care plan.
