I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with a two-decade career dedicated to providing students and individuals with disabilities with academic and workplace accommodations and the support needed to ensure equity in education and employment. I have worked in public, private, and community rehabilitation settings and higher education. I am currently a Social Security Vocational Expert and an Adjunct Faculty member in the GSEP, Online MAP/MACLP Psychology Programs at Pepperdine University.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Fisk University, a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with a specialization in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Higher Education Leadership from Gwynedd Mercy University. My research interests include educational access and equity among African American/Black women.
I live outside the perimeter of Atlanta, Georgia, and was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am a mother of three adult children and a doting new grandmother.
I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, focusing on self-care and wellness, and ministering to women.
