Michele has been a Registered Nurse, licensed initially in California in 1973 then in Oregon in 1979 and Washington shortly thereafter. She obtained her certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and has taught certification-preparation classes for CCM (Certified Case Manage). Because of her workers' compensation experience, she obtained her Occupational Health Nurse Certification and she taught courses for IEA (Insurance Education Association) for those intending to obtain their CPDM (Certified Professional Disability Manager) designation. Michele is a life-long learner which fits well with her Life Care Planning experience as a CLCP and CNLCP. Michele had worked for the Visiting Nurse Association in Los Angeles and grew up in that area, becoming somewhat fluent in Spanish, which is a bit rusty now but helpful as she works with clients. Michele has published articles in case management and life care planning in peer-reviewed journals and speaks on various topics of interest such as Factitious Disorder, Minimizing Uninsured Liens, and Ethics in Life Care Planning.
