Bio

Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor with a solid academic background and extensive experience in the field of rehabilitation. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology with an Emphasis in Rehabilitation from the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce, and a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras. I also hold a Vocational Evaluation Certification granted by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC), and I am currently advancing my academic development through doctoral studies in Rehabilitation Counseling at the same institution. I currently work as a Rehabilitation Counselor at the Administración de Rehabilitación Vocacional, where I provide counseling services, case management, and guidance to support the integration and reintegration of individuals into the workforce. I have collaborated in supported employment programs, contributing to educational support, job promotion, employer outreach, job placement, customized employment, mentoring, on-the-job training, and independent living skills training. I also have extensive knowledge in job search strategies, résumé development, and job placement techniques — particularly when working with populations with significant disabilities — which allows me to facilitate inclusive and effective pathways toward workforce integration. Additionally, I have participated in major university projects focused on academic and vocational counseling, psychoeducational workshops, and the development of mental health courses for emergency situations serving vulnerable populations. I have also contributed to projects involving the restructuring and supervision of master's-level students, ensuring service quality during transition processes. My commitment to rehabilitation and employment inclusion is reflected in a comprehensive career counseling approach, the design of strategies to promote autonomy among people with disabilities, and the promotion of quality of life and well-being as the central focus of all interventions.
