I am a seasoned healthcare executive, data scientist, with over 30 years of consulting and audit experience. I have a diverse client base which includes healthcare organizations, payers, physician practices, pharmacies, drug manufacturers, PBM’s, DME’s and various health benefit plans. I started my career as an adult intensive care nurse transitioning into auditing for risk and compliance which lead me to investigating healthcare waste fraud and abuse. I founded MBA in 1991 to further help clients increase revenue, decrease costs and manage risk via fraud detection, prevention audit consulting and training services. I have done this by bringing together clinical professionals who have finance, fraud, and audit backgrounds. My clients refer to me as a problem solver.
I have a passion for the ethically challenged and to make their lives as difficult as possible. This has resulted in the development of several patents and proprietary tools to deal with healthcare waste, fraud and abuse. My ultimate passion is that of a patient advocate.
My healthcare industry experience has led to publishing, teaching, and innovative audit and review solutions. At MBA, a certified WBE/MBE firm we have developed solutions that focus on quality outcomes for those providing, paying, receiving and supporting healthcare services.
