I graduated in 2006 from SUNY Buffalo, with a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, having completed my internship with VESID in Rochester. My husband and I then moved to the Philadelphia area, where I began working for the Philadelphia OVR office, which I continued till my second child was born in 2009. Having taken some time off to raise my children, I made sure to keep up with the Rehabilitation Counseling profession by maintaining professional development by attending conferences and being a member of the NRA-Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Association.
In 2017 I took a position with a non-profit organization as the Clinical Coordinator and Program Director for a residential facility for persons with serious and persistent mental illness. I am currently the Vice-President of the PRA board.
In 2019 I became a Mental Health First Aid Instructor through the National Council on Behavioral Health. I am certified to teach adult, Fire/EMS, and public safety Mental Health First Aid classes, in 2020 certified to teach Youth MHFA and enjoy teaching others how to be the difference. In 2020 I formed Hearn Wellness & Vocational Consulting, LLC. I started working working with Premier Vocational Experts as a Vocational Expert in 2021.
In 2022 I earned my Life Care Planning Certification as well as Certified Vocational Evaluator Specialist.
