    Good morning.

I am working on a Labor Market Survey and am in need of jobs that are Sedentary and require no computer skills/experience.

I did not search the library but will in a few minutes.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The person may not have the time for this, but www.gcflearnfree.org   is a great site for getting the basics on keyboarding and Word, to be able to do a simple customer service or receptionist job.

Sedentary jobs that don't require computer skills or computer experience are less common, but they do exist. Here are some examples:

    1. Receptionist: While some receptionist positions may require basic computer skills, there are still some roles where your main responsibilities involve answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing appointments, without much computer work.

    2. Telephone operator: A telephone operator connects calls and provides assistance to callers who may need help with directory inquiries or other phone-related services.

    3. Telemarketer: Telemarketers make outbound calls to sell products or services, usually working from a script. There may be minimal computer use, but it typically doesn't require advanced skills.

    4. Assembler: Some assembly line jobs require workers to sit for extended periods, attaching or assembling small components for various products.

    5. Quality Control Inspector: In some industries, quality control inspectors visually inspect products for defects or deviations from specifications.

    6. Hand Sewer: Hand sewers create, mend, or alter garments and other fabric items using a needle and thread. This job typically involves sitting for long periods and requires manual dexterity.

    7. Watch Repairer: Watch repairers diagnose, adjust, and repair watches and clocks, which often involves sitting for extended periods while working with small components.

    8. Jewelry Maker: Jewelry makers design, create, and repair jewelry pieces. This sedentary job involves working with various tools and materials, such as metals and gemstones.

    9. Envelope Stuffer: This job involves placing marketing materials, letters, or other items into envelopes for mailing. It usually requires sitting for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

    10. Survey Interviewer: Survey interviewers collect data by conducting interviews over the phone or in person. Some positions may not require computer use, especially if data is recorded using paper forms.

Please note that these jobs may still require basic computer use or data entry, depending on the specific employer and role. However, the primary focus of these jobs does not revolve around computer skills.
