This issue of ERI has been discussed on this blog several times over the years. It looks like a very attractive alternative to loss of the DOT as an uypdate. ERI is a commercial for profit expensive service designed for corporate personnel users and some insurance carriers sucker enough to buy into it.
I had occassdion to look into buying that product and spoke to their sales people and someone who claimed to be a developer. I declined this product or any of their products and not just due to cost. Their date is derived from limited surveys of employers, most of whom are customers. ERI is not interested in a public/private partnership and would not work with BLS or any other government entity to make the product more broadly available (not much profit in that) nor to improve validity.
I have not heard that ERI has changed and I know that the ERI is not accepted by Social Security. If the products of ERI had any validity, how easy and cheap would it be for Social Security to dump ORS and have an available updated DOT.
I would not use ERI and it has been my pleasure to go after invalid Insurance carrier LTD findings based on ERI.

I am trying to figure out how anyone can do a true TSA using this software. Also, does anyone know how they come up with these new DOT #s which are certainly not listed in the DOL DOT. I am seeing this done in reports over and over and it makes no sense to me. Can anyone enlighten me on this company and how they get their information?
