  • 1.  Challenge, Donate local Charity items to KJTF!

I want to challenge our membership to consider a product from one of your local charities  to Kids Join the Fight, our IARP confernence charity and online auction.

I am giving from a local Nashville charity that is dear to my heart, Thistle Farms. More information will follow.

The chairity makes  candles, lotions, hand soaps and just overall pampering products.  If you are in Nashville they also have an amazing cafe!

I am donating  a sellf-care spa set from Thistle Farms. it has body lotion, a large candle, linen spray and bath salts.   The lavender scent is so relaxing and calming!

Consider a donation of a product from one of your local charities,  we can double the giving,  helping 2 charities.

By the way this auction and project made me think of Paula Freeman, who led our charity giving and auctions for years!  I spoke with her yesterday and she asked me to tell everyone hello and how much she misses her IARP friends now that she is retired.   I miss Paula/Paulette's giving spirit and love or IARP, her energy was contagious and such a big part of our past conferences.

    I love this idea Michelle!

I found the companies below from a Reader's Digest (I know I am showing my age) online article 51 Beautiful Gifts That Give Back https://www.rd.com/list/holiday-gifts-that-give-back/

I will not be able to come to Ft Worth this year as I will be in Greece but just ordered/donated 2 items to the auction that have the double benefit of giving back twice!

A "Dog Mom" beanie that from https://loveyourmelon.com/
At Love Your Melon-Fifty percent (50%) of net profit from the sale of all Love Your Melon products is given to nonprofits in support of charitable programming and research in the fight against pediatric cancer. Since 2012, Love Your Melon has given $9,436,840 and 235,397 beanies. The nonprofit organizations we support fight against pediatric cancer, do cutting edge research, create therapeutic experiences, and fund programming initiatives for children and their families battling cancer.

A "Adventure Classic" Backpack from https://adventuristbackpacks.com/
For every backpack purchased, 25 meals are provided to families in need across the U.S.
There is more food produced on the planet than can be eaten. At the end of each harvest, there are farmers around the world that have to throw away excess produce that isn't purchased by major supermarket chains or restaurants.
