I do not have a specific answer to yours here, Michelle. However, based upon contemporary forensic evaluations that I see, it seems that some of us (and even some long-term drivers themselves) may not be familiar with the 2018 changes regarding the medical portion of the CDL.
In particular, my attention was drawn to this when researching implications of having pre-existing diabetes as a CDL driver.
The attached may be helpful on the diabetes topic, as well as on all the updates. I hope you find your answer, meanwhile!

Subject: CDL and Hazmat Testing Requirements
Good afternoon everyone!
So, I have a bit of an odd question. When did the CDL and Hazmat tests begin to be administered in a computerized format, as opposed to pencil and paper? In what year did the Hazmat test become required? The CDL was required in 1992 nationally.
Thanks!
