This year we will be supporting Kids Join the Fight, a wonderful charity, during our annual IARP conference, aimed at providing support to kids fighting cancer. This is a personal story from our own IARP member Debbie Civils and her grandson, Walker. Gifting teddy bears to pediatric patients during their fight with this disease, gives them super powers and encouragement to keep fighting. We will be conducting an online auction during this year's conference. Currently, we are requesting donations of any size, shape, or form that we can place on the auction. Our hope and goal is to receive donations from every state. Please reach out to your colleagues and employers.
If you would like to donate your "time" for a one-on-one session via remote platform (i.e. Zoom, TEAMS, etc) perhaps to provide overall career advice or discuss trends in vocational rehabilitation, job placement, life care planning, transition assessment and counseling services, etc, please let us know. We consider this a wonderful donation as well. We can place the "time" as a meeting of sorts as an auction item. New, emerging professionals or even those seasoned professionals wanting to add a professional service to their practice would be interested in your input, advise, and recommendations!
You can still participate in the auction by donating and bidding via this online auction forum, if you will not attend the conference in-person. This method was especially selected so we can reach out to folks who cannot make it in-person. We urge you to consider donating something, and bidding once the auction goes live.
