Mary Meinhard is a Nurse Attorney, Certified Life Care Planner, Board-Certified Nurse Case Manager and Medicare Set-Aside Consultant-Certified. Her background as an Emergency Room/Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (Licensed in California since 1977, and Nevada since 2008), and her licensure as a California Attorney since 1990, provides her with a unique medical/legal persepctive. She understands the complex needs of critically ill, chronically ill and catastrophically injured individuals, and, possesses the skills to articulate those needs within the context of a comprehensive Life Care Plan, while considering Medicare mandates. The end result is a credible Life Care Plan, and/or Preliminary Life Care Needs and Cost Analysis, that can be utilized to accurately and convincingly depict your client's legal damages to claims personnel, opposing counsel, mediators, arbitrators, judges and juries. Ms. Meinhard also holds certification from the University of Pepperdine School of Law Straus Institute of Dipsute Resolution, which, combined with her unique medical/legal insight, provides a distinct advantage in mediating personal injury cases. She is also available to assist with a wide range of litigation support services, including: chronological review and summary of medical records; attendance at Independent Medical Examinations; deposing expert witnesses (e.g., Life Care Planners, Physicians, etc.); drafting motions and mediation/settlement conference briefs; preparing questions for expert depositions/trial testimony, etc.
