Shelley Lewis is a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC), a nationally certified life care planner (CLCP) and a board certified vocational expert (ABVE/F). She is also a registered vocational rehabilitation counselor with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries and serves as a vocational expert for the Social Security Administration. Ms. Lewis holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Washington and a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Washington University. She has additionally completed 120 post graduate hours in life care planning following a curriculum developed through the University of Florida.
Ms. Lewis began as a rehabilitation counselor in 1996 and later joined Owings & Associates, Inc. in 1999. She became a partner of the firm in 2013 and in January 2014 became the owner of Owings Lewis, LLC.
Ms. Lewis is an active member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) including the forensic, life care planning, and transition services sections. She is additionally a member of the National Rehabilitation Association and is a Fellow member of the American Board of Vocational Experts.
In her spare time, Ms. Lewis enjoys spending time with her family attending Seattle Sounders games as well as her son’s many sporting and school events.
