WE ARE SEEKING ADDITIONAL LEADERSHIP FOR OUR 2022-2023 BOARD OF DIRECTORS!!
IARP Washington is seeking new leaders to serve on the Board of Directors for a three-year term (President Elect position), one year term (Board Member at Large), and a two year term (Treasurer/Secretary) commencing May 1, 2022. For a detailed description of IARP WA Chapter Board Positions, please follow our library link under the ‘Browse’ tab on the IARP WA Chapter website or go to Chapter Resources on our IARP WA home page.
Board meetings are held monthly in various locations in Washington (location is at the discretion of the President) and sometimes via phone conference. Travel stipend is available for those traveling long distances. You may nominate any current IARP WA member (with their permission) and you may also nominate yourself!
Open positions listed below:
President Elect: 1 open position 3 year term ~ 1 year as President Elect, 1 year as President, 1 year as Immediate Past President
Member at Large (MAL): 5 open positions ~ 1 year term
*In order to ensure that the board is representative of IARP members across our state, three of the five Member-At-Large positions are regionally specific. These regions are defined as follows: Eastern, comprised of the L&I service locations for Kennewick, Moses Lake, and Spokane; Central, comprised of the L&I service locations for E. Wenatchee and Yakima; Western, comprised of the L&I service locations for Aberdeen, Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Longview, Mount Vernon, Port Angeles, Seattle, Tacoma, Tumwater, and Vancouver.
For each region, the nominee from that area with the most votes will be elected to that specific position (1 year term). The remaining two Member-At-Large positions are then filled by any eligible candidate with the greatest number of votes.
If there are no eligible nominees for a region during an election cycle, that region will become “unspecified” and be filled by the eligible candidate with the greatest number of votes.
Please submit your nominations to:
Katrina Taylor, IARP WA Past President, via email: ktaylor@eastsidevocational.com.
Please feel free to contact any of your current Board members (on IARP WA website) for additional information and/or questions regarding Board positions or serving on the Board. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to your profession. We work hard and have fun!
