The 24th Annual International Symposium on Life Care Planning will be an interactive course, “How to Be an Effective Expert Witness,” to be presented by SEAK on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Le Meridien Hotel/Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, NC. This program is a pre-con for the 2018 IARP Annual Conference starting October 26, 2018. This intensive, hands-on workshop will cover deposition, direct examination and cross examination skills. Instruction will include lecture, video of experts testifying in real cases, and mock trial demonstrations using actual reports and CVs of student volunteers. A content rich seminar manual will also be provided. This is an opportunity for life care planners and others doing forensic work to become more effective and valuable expert witnesses.
