Ribbon Cutting to Mark Completion of Raleigh Post-Acute Neuro-Rehabilitation Campus

Raleigh, NC – Learning Services Corporation, a provider of post-acute neuro-rehabilitation services, has completed construction on the company’s expanded facility in Raleigh. To celebrate the project’s completion and to mark the facility’s formal opening, Learning Services will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 23 at 10:00 a.m. The ribbon cutting will be followed by building tours for members of the media and the community. The facility is located at 530 Building Futures Circle in Raleigh. The campus will serve adults with acquired brain injuries, including active military members and veterans, within a residential environment.

The expansion project, which began in November 2013, was a consolidation of two previously separate North Carolina program facilities. As part of the process, the company moved its Durham operation to Raleigh, creating a single campus featuring three residential facilities. The new expanded campus also includes a new 6,000-square-foot center for therapy and recreation, named for Brian Preston, former Regional Clinical Director who lost his battle with cancer several years ago.  Bringing all four buildings together in one location will allow for improved access to recreation and specialized therapy for all residents.

The new campus will also increase the company’s capacity to provide treatment for participants, many of which enter the program through local hospital-based rehabilitation facilities, workers’ compensation professionals, and the veterans administration staff.  Featuring two new 6,000-square-foot residential buildings, which adjoin the company’s existing residence, the center will provide a home for up to 36 program participants at a time. “The completion of this project is a significant event for Learning Services,” says Dr. Debra Braunling-McMorrow, CEO and President of Learning Services.  “It represents our strong commitment to providing the best possible environments for rehabilitation and recovery.”

Learning Services, which operates eight regional programs across the country, has gained a reputation as a leader in post-acute neurological rehabilitation and care.  The company offers a wide range of programs including post-acute neuro-rehabilitation, neuro-behavioral rehabilitation, supported living, and day treatment rehabilitation. Driven by a belief that all individuals are capable of growth and development, Learning Services pursues person-centered outcomes within a home-like environment.
