Kathleen Mueller, MA, CRC began employment at Independent Rehabilitation Services, Inc. in 2010. Ms. Mueller works with individuals who have sustained a work related injury. She completes a thorough Initial Vocational Assessment that assists her in determining the client’s overall transferrable skills. She develops a Rehabilitation Plan for the client based on educational background, prior work history and physical capabilities and limitations.
Her additional role as Director of Job Development enables her to assist clients with Job Readiness and Job Seeking Skills Training. She assists clients with identifying employment opportunities, along with the development of interviewing skills, resume writing and returning back to gainful employment.
Prior to her work at Independent Rehab, Kathleen was employed with Sedgwick Insurance in Chicago as a Return To Work Specialist and with Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital as a Vocational Counselor for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke and Amputation. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, member of the National Rehabilitation Association, past President of the Illinois Rehabilitation Association, Board Member for the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals – Illinois Chapter and Secretary/Board Member for the Coalition of Illinois Counselor Organizations.
