The RDCM Section is working on a project to create a listing of private companies that are open to having graduate students in Rehab Counseling programs participate in internships and practicums at their organization. There is some variation in graduate programs, but the Practicum would require a minimum of 100 hours with a requirement that a percentage of those hours are direct client contact, typically 40 hours. The Internship experience is typically 600 hours with a minimum of 240 direct client contact hours, though again, some variation exists.
