Good afternoon section members! The conference is right around the corner and cool weather has finally hit Virginia. I want to pass one a few bits of information regarding the work your Board has recently done:
- Be on the look out for an updated copy of the sections Policies & Procedures. At our October meeting we performed an annual review and made some updates. As soon as the Board reviews and accepts the final update we will post them in the Section library.
- The Board also performed an annual review of our Strategic Plan, ensuring it is inline with the IARP Plan.
- Your section is hosting a Young Professionals group get together at the conference in Pittsburg.
- As previously reported, the section is working on creating a Job Bank of Internships, in the private sector, for students. As we progress we will share more information. The RDCM Board is very excited about this project.
We were not able to make it happen for the 2016 conference but be on the look out for a Reception for RDCM section members at the 2017 conference. I am excited about the Pittsburg conference and would love to meet you. Please look for me and introduce yourself.
