    New Release

The Role of the Rehabilitation Vocational Counselor
in an Insurance Setting – RDCM 101

    Anthony Morin, MS, CRC

IARP launches the first module of the six-part series RDCM 101. RDCM 101 features a variety of programs designed for the new/emerging professional in the field of Rehabilitation Disability Case Management.

In this module, Anthony (Tony) Morin discusses the primary activities of a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor working in a Short-Term and Long-Term Disability setting. In each scenario (STD/LTD), VRC’s tend to have dual roles: providing consultative support to insurance claims handlers and providing Return to Work support to individuals with injuries or illness receiving disability benefits. Specific activities, including occupational analysis, transferable skills analysis, vocational counseling, and retraining, will depend on where an individual is in the disability insurance continuum. I would have not had the opportunity to register early because I did
not receive the email until 5/12/15. Is the early member fee $15 or
    $30?

    Thanks.
