Hi all - do any of you use the ONET ability profiler?  I am doing a trial run of it with a student to determine its ease of use, scoring interpretation, and overall reliability and validity, but I did not purchase the scanning and scoring equipment since it has hand scoring software.  I am trying to use the ONET's hand scoring software, but it does not work properly. I called Pearson Assessments, as the website suggests for hand scoring support, but they have no idea what I am talking about.

Do any of you know of anyone who uses the Ability Profiler and can do the scoring for me?  What has been your experience with it, if you use it? ONET says this replaces the GATB. The content seems similar. However, based on this experience I don't think it is very user friendly without buying expensive scanning equipment. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your insights.

    Judi

Hi, Judi.  Several folks in Oregon have used it.  I have not, but the results have never been particularly good in my opinion.  If you don't get any other responses, I'd be happy to link you with the folks who do use it for testing.
