I would like some guidance on the best and most efficient method to establish occupational loss based on an individual's functional limitations and SVP using USDOL data.

For example, an individual suffered a severe low back injury at work. His occupation was a roustabout. DOT Code: 869.684-046. He has a high school education, highest SVP is a 5, and he is found during a FCE to be able to work fulltime within a LIGHT strength level category with the following limitations:

Sitting Frequent with interruptions each hour to stand
Standing Frequent with interruptions each hour to sit
Walking Frequent with interruptions each hour to sit

Any combination of standing and walking limited to a maximum of 4 hours per day.

Lifting Occasional 15-20 lbs Frequent 10 lbs
Carrying Occasional 20 lbs Frequent 10 lbs
Pushing Occasional 20 lbs Frequent 10 lbs
Pulling Occasional 20 lbs Frequent 10 lbs
    Climbing Never
    Balancing Occasional
    Stooping Occasional
    Kneeling Never
    Crouching Never
    Reaching Frequent
    Handling Constant
    Fingering Constant

So, prior to his injury he was physically capable of working within a HEAVY strength level category without limitations. His SVP was a 5. He now is limited to work within a LIGHT strength level category with the limitations noted above.

I would like to be able to show first of all he was qualified to perform "X" number of jobs prior to his injury and he is now only qualified to perform "Y" number of jobs now. Then take that data and express it as a percentage of occupational loss.

Is there a database or software program on the market that would allow me to do this using valid data?
