I am sure everyone received the email blast but I wanted to follow up with some more details about the exciting news that the Commissioner Of Social Security is going to address the IARP Forensic Conference in Charleston, SC on 11/8.
Commissioner Carolyn Colvin will be addressing the Conference on Friday morning 11/8. This is a huge honor that she is willing to speak at our conference and a testament to how far IARP-SSVE has come in being recognized as a major player in the system.

Commissioner Colvin is responsible for a 12 Billion dollar budget, benefits for over 61 Million Americans, and oversees the largest administrative adjudication system in world.

She and her staff are stating that they will be attending the SSVE cocktail reception on thursday 11/7 at the conference hotel and members will have the opportunity to meet her. She will be speaking on Friday am and was very interested not only in our role as SSVE's but our role as vocational counselors and case managers.

New to the conference this year, each IARP section--Forensic, Life Care Planners,SSVE and RDCM will each have a round table presentation from a panel of experts that discusses standard of practice, methodologies, current issues/challenges etc in a participatory format.

Today is the last day for Early Bird Registration rates--it is going to be a great conference
