I posted this on IARP's twitter page but it is such a great tool I am also posting it on Connect

NIDRR (National Institute for Rehabilitation Research) funded a project to develop Standards of Practice and a web based "toolbox" for VR counselors who communicate with clients online.

    It is very good resource:

This is the announcement from NIDRR's newsletter:

Resource Highlight: Telecom Toolbox for VR Counselors

The NIDRR-funded Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Disability in Rural Communities (RTC: RURAL) recently debuted TelecomToolbox.org, a website designed to help vocational rehabilitation (VR) counselors maintain standards of practice and facilitate effective online communications with their clients. The Telecom Toolbox was developed based on findings published in Access to, Use of, and Attitudes Toward Telecommunications Among Rural VR Clients (abstract) in the journal Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, which investigated the use of telecommunications for rural VR service delivery from both the counselor and consumer perspectives. The Telecom Toolbox aims to address gaps in VR counselor training and offer alternatives to face-to-face meetings.
