Greetings, We have been updating our Section members about the process of combining the Case Management and Disability Management Sections through our last few emails and through postings on the Expert Express. We believe that, by bringing together so many different professional members, with many unique roles and skills, we will bring a lot of energy and ideas to our group!
As you saw from our last post on this discussion list, a recent survey identified the many and varied job titles, roles, and activities of our "case management" and "disability management" members. It provides a challenge to us, then, in identifying a name, or brand, for our new section. We would like your input on what to call our section. How do we capture the diversity, experience, role & function, and expertise of such a varied group of IARP members? When we talk with members, we find a range of ideas and names, including:
Disability Case Management Section
Rehabilitation Works
Rehabilitation and Case Management Section
Disability and Case Management Section
We would like your input on a name for the new Section. Please use this Discussion List to give us your thoughts and, hopefully, a Section Name. Maybe one of those above fits well. Maybe you like another name. Give us your feedback.
We will have a Breakfast Roundtable held for all CM and DM members during the Puerto Rico Conference later this month to discuss your issues. questions, thoughts, and suggestions. At this time, we will continue the Naming Discussion, pick the top three names identified through your feedback, and, hopefully, vet a new section name.
