The VRC role is a highly specialized position that blends clinical reasoning, vocational expertise, and collaborative partnership across our Long-Term Disability organization. The work centers around two core areas:
- Return‑to‑Work Services – partnering with insured individuals, providers, employers, and internal teams to assess functional abilities, identify barriers, and develop individualized RTW or stay‑at‑work plans.
- Forensic Vocational Analysis – conducting occupational research, evaluating job demands, analyzing transferable skills, and producing written vocational assessments that support claim direction.
We look for candidates with a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or a related field, along with certifications such as CRC, CDMS, or CCM. Experience in vocational rehab, disability management, workers' compensation, or similar environments is especially valuable.
