Hi everyone! The education crew has been working really had to bring you three amazing upcoming webinars that dive deep into the real-world clinical decisions that shape life care plans.

First up on April 25, neurosurgeon Dr. Andrew Cannestra will walk us through how he determines whether to recommend an ACDF versus a disc replacement. He'll cover how many levels can be treated, when he considers a procedure outpatient vs inpatient, and what happens down the road-like the risk of adjacent level disease or the potential for future surgeries. He'll also get into options like facet fusions, outline common recovery timelines, and review CPT coding for both fusion and disc replacement procedures.

On May 9, we are getting an in depth look at spinal cord stimulators. Do you know the coding difference between probes vs paddles. Replacement times lines? Rechargeable vs non-rechargeable? After May 9th you will!

Following that, on May 23, we'll hear from Dr. Mann, a pain management specialist. He'll break down the differences between ESIs and TFESIs, when he chooses one over the other, how long patients can remain on interventional treatments, and what patterns he sees when it comes to surgical center use. He'll also walk us through facet-related procedures-facet injections, medial branch blocks, and RFAs-including how they're sequenced, what CPT codes are involved, and how long patients typically benefit. He'll finish with a detailed look at spinal cord stimulators, from trial to permanent implant, plus his approach to diagnostics and work capacity evaluations.

The folks behind the scenes here (hats off to Gil!) have worked directly with these speakers to ensure these sessions are tailored specifically to the needs of life care planners. This isn't just general medical information-you'll hear practical, focused content that speaks directly to the kinds of projections, coding details, and clinical reasoning we need in our reports. Get excited!

And in between all of this learning, we will also squeeze in discussing the future of life care planning at our Summit! What a time to be a life care planner, am I right?

Considering the differences between the Canadian and U.S. healthcare systems, would these webinars still offer practical value for Canadian life care planners?

    Good morning

Given that I encounter these issues on my caseload, I am registered.  The costing and "procedure" will most certainly be different but I expect to learn salient information that will facilitate my understanding and guide my questions to the relevant professionals.
