Hi Ashley,
I actually did one in Germany a couple years ago. It was no easy feat with the costing, but it's because the European healthcare system is not litigation-oriented and the citizens of the EU have national healthcare. It is difficult to get itemized billing, but I managed to work my way through it. And boy, do I suck at speaking German. LOL. Neither are most of the Caribbean countries. I am more than happy to help you out (no, not for a fee....I would not do that to a colleague!). If I may ask, which island country is it? Reason I ask is I am wondering if it is one of the British Commonwealth countries. I own property in the Turks & Caicos, and my sister has lived there for the last 15 years...so I do have a bit of inside knowledge of how those countries operate from a medical perspective. Please feel free to reply to this or text/call me at 865-705-6279. Is this case a US jurisdiction or foreign? Happy to help....I always LOVE these "odd" requests!
Regards...
Mary

Subject: Costing in another country
Good morning!
I have been asked to complete a life care plan for a client who lives on an island in the Caribbean. I have not worked on a case in another country. Does anyone have experience or suggestions on how to conduct cost research?
Thank you,
Ashley
