Subject: Please Oppose Medicaid Cuts in the Budget Reconciliation Process
Dear Senator [Last Name],
As a constituent, I urge you to oppose any provisions in the Budget Reconciliation legislation-also referred to as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act-that would cut or weaken Medicaid.
Medicaid provides health coverage to millions of individuals and families, including children, older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income working families. It plays a key role in ensuring access to preventive care, long-term services and supports, behavioral health care, and home- and community-based services.
Changes that reduce funding or limit eligibility could have significant effects on state systems, healthcare providers, and the individuals who rely on this program.
I urge you to preserve Medicaid's funding and structure as the reconciliation process moves forward.
Thank you for your consideration and continued public service.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
