    Chapter Members,

I wanted to bring to your attention a great opportunity for you to have an educational experience on the West Coast and gain those needed CEUs.

IARP is presenting a forensic track and being featured this year at the NCRE 2015 Spring Conference (National Council on Rehabilitation Education). The following are the six presentations on forensic topics in addition to the great program offering through NCRE. The six forensic presentations will be:

Methods & Models in Forensic Vocational Assessment - Dr. Rick Robinson

Evidence-based Practice and the federal evidentiary rules interface in forensic vocational rehabilitation - Dr. Mary Barros-Bailey

Ethics in a Forensic Practice - Patricia Costantini

Introduction to Life Care Planning - Karen Preston

Historical Points of Convergence between Rehabilitation Education and the private Sector: Implications for Future Collaboration - Dr. Brian McMahon

Balancing Private Practice with Higher Educational Responsibilities by Dr. T. Scott Smith

The NCRE 2015 Spring Conference will be held at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa April 22 to 24 (Wed, Thurs & Fri) in Newport Beach, CA. Room rates are $149 for Tues, Wed, and Thurs nights and $169 for Fri & Sat. nights. But the hotel is booking up quickly due to these great rates for conference attendees. So book quickly.

The Conference prices are very affordable with a special IARP member early bird rate for the three-day conference of $330 for professional members and $230 for student members through March 20, 2015.

Please go to the NCRE website (www,ncre.org) for additional information and registration. NCRE has offered IARP members the NCRE member rate. Please note: to gain the IARP member rate, on the registration page, please check the box that you are an IARP member or student member, enter the discount code (iarpcapro for professional members and iarpstudent for student members- lower case), and at check out the discount will be applied.

I hope you can join us for this great local educational opportunity, see friends and colleagues, and pick up some CEUs in sunny Newport Beach.

I also hope to see you all in New Orleans October 22-24, 2015 for the annual IARP Conference.

    Lynne Tracy, IARP President

What a great opportunity with IARP and some great professional presenters too!  Many of the content areas covered are so relevant and current to our industry in forensic practice.  Thanks IARP!
